More About John Abraham-Rohit Shetty’s Cop Film
John has previously played cop roles in several films, including the much-loved Batla House (2019). He was then seen as A.C.P. Yashvardhan Singh in Force and Force 2. Now, he’s slated to play the lead in a biographical thriller about former Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria.
Reportedly, the movie is being shot in South Mumbai and Mira Road. Earlier, the team filmed scenes at iconic locations like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Dongri, and the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. While fans are expecting classic Rohit Shetty-style action with grand sets and jaw-dropping stunts, this film is said to have a slightly different tone.
Who Is Rakesh Maria
Rakesh Maria is known for cracking some of Mumbai’s most dangerous cases, including the 2003 Gateway of India and Zaveri Bazaar twin blasts.
He also authored a book titled Let Me Say It Now, and is reportedly planning to release another one soon.
