Engine
At the core of this bike is a brand-new 452cc “Sherpa” engine which is Royal Enfield’s first-ever liquid-cooled engine and it produces 40.02 PS of power and 40 Nm of torque, meaning it is much stronger and smoother than the old Himalayan 411.
Riding Modes
For the first time, Royal Enfield has added ride-by-wire technology to the Himalayan and you can also choose from four riding modes:
- Eco (ABS On) for fuel efficiency and relaxed rides.
- Eco (ABS Off) for those who want a little adventure on dirt roads.
- Performance (ABS On) for confident highway cruising.
- Performance (ABS Off) for expert off-road riders who want full control.

Tech-Savvy and Traveler-Friendly
Another major upgrade is its TFT color display which is a first for Royal Enfield. This classy round digital screen shows navigation directly from Google Maps, which means you will never lose the track on your way.
It can also switch to a classic analogue look for old-school fans. Royal Enfield has also added bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation and trip data to this bike.
Built and Ride
The Himalayan 450 is built on a new steel twin-spar frame, which is stronger yet lighter. The suspension is: Showa 43mm upside-down forks in the front and a monoshock at the rear, both with 200mm of travel which is perfect for rough terrains or pothole-filled city roads.
It also features switchable dual-channel ABS which allows you to turn off the rear ABS for better control on sand, mud or gravel. And with 230mm ground clearance, this bike can glide over rocks and bumps effortlessly.
Comfort
The adjustable two-piece seat can be set at 825mm or 845mm, and there is even a low-seat option which is 805mm for shorter riders and is combined with the upright riding position, this makes long journeys much more comfortable.
Modern Features and Accessories
From LED lights to alloy wheels and USB charging, the Himalayan 450 is equipped with every modern touch you would expect. Royal Enfield also offers a huge range of accessories, from crash guards and bash plates to touring seats, luggage racks, and panniers.
