However, not many know that the “Desi Queen” has been going through a difficult phase in her personal life. Sapna has accused her husband, Veer Sahu, of domestic violence. She filed a case against him and sought immediate protection, citing concerns regarding her personal safety and professional commitments. As per reports, the court has granted her relief and directed Sahu not to contact or approach Sapna in any manner until the next hearing.
Sapna Choudhary Domestic Violence Case UPDATE
According to a report by PTI, has received interim relief from a Delhi court in the domestic violence case involving her husband. The development came after she approached the Mahila Court, alleging domestic abuse. She claimed that incidents had also taken place in public settings. She informed the court that she was no longer living in the matrimonial home and had initiated proceedings under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act.
Her lawyer argued that urgent intervention was necessary to ensure that Sapna’s work and public engagements were not affected. After examining the petition and other material submitted before it, the court issued summons and granted interim protection.
It reportedly said, “Respondent (Choudhary’s husband) is restrained from approaching the petitioner in any manner till the next date of hearing. Respondent is restrained from contacting the petitioner in any manner or visiting her place of residence or work and committing any act of domestic violence till the NDOH (next date of hearing).”
The court further directed the Protection Officer and the concerned police authorities to ensure compliance with its order and provide assistance to the petitioner when required.
The next hearing in the matter is scheduled for July 25.
