Mini Mathur, winner of the reality show The Alliance, has shared a glimpse of her reunion with fellow contestants, revealing that their bond remains strong even three months after the show ended.
Mini posted a short clip of a group video call on social media, showing the contestants laughing together. The video featured the track ‘Veere’ from the film Veere Ki Wedding as its background score.
Reflecting on their unusual experience, Mini said that spending an extended period in confinement while competing against one another might have been expected to create lasting resentment. Instead, the contestants continue to enjoy each other’s company.
In her post, she recalled spending 42 days together without phones, sunlight, clocks or calendars. The contestants participated in a strategy-based game that repeatedly required them to compete against one another and then form alliances, alongside physical challenges, mental tasks, quizzes, spelling tests and mathematics.
“Playing a strategy game designed to pitch one against the other one week… and align with your competitors next week. Physical strength, mental challenges, quizzes, spellings, math… we did it all,” she wrote.
Mini added that, despite the intense experience, the contestants were still “laughing hysterically and hanging out” three months after leaving the show’s headquarters. She also noted that many of the enjoyable moments had not made it into the episodes.
The first season of The Alliance featured Sohail Khan, Seema Sajdeh, Niti Taylor, Ruhee Dosani, Aly Goni, Arslan Goni, Nikhil Chinapa, Zaid Darbar, Delbar Arya, Kashish Kapoor, Daisy Shah, Armaan Khera, Payal Dhare, popularly known as Payal Gaming, Kushal Tandon, Sabby Suri, Vanshaj Singh and Dolly Javed.
In August, Mini had also reunited with fellow contestants Seema Sajdeh, Daisy Shah and Ruhee Dosani for dinner. Sharing a photograph from the gathering, she captioned it “Unfiltered Allies”.
Speaking about her experience on her first reality show, Mini had described it as the best digital detox of her life, revealing that she did not miss her phone during her time on the programme.
