The Inter-District UT-Level Under-17 Boys Athletics Competition concluded at the Athletics Track, University of Jammu, while the Inter-District Division-Level Under-17 Girls Cricket Tournament commenced at Kirpalpur Cricket Stadium, Mandal, under the Department of Youth Services and Sports.
In the 1500m, Rizwan Husan of Jammu won gold, Puran Chand of Udhampur silver and Raza Illahz Daing of Ramban bronze. In the 200m, Momin Mirza of Jammu secured gold, Muneer Ali of Srinagar silver and Aftab Hussain of Poonch bronze. Anshman Aryan of Jammu won the 800m gold, followed by Arpit Kumar of Kishtwar and Inzar Mehmood of Poonch. In discus throw, Sayam Singh Charak of Samba won gold, Saksham of Udhampur silver and Umair Qasim of Ramban bronze. Jammu won the 4x400m relay, followed by Ganderbal and Baramulla.
In girls’ cricket, Jammu defeated Doda by 36 runs. Jammu scored 90/3 in 15 overs, with Drishti Sharma scoring 19, while Arushi Kotwal took two wickets for Doda. Doda were bowled out for 54 in 11.2 overs, with Bhoomi Katoch scoring 11 and Sonakshi claiming four wickets for Jammu.
In another match, Poonch beat Kishtwar by 22 runs. Poonch scored 112/3, with Aamna making 29, while Nahida took two wickets. Kishtwar were dismissed for 90, with Sonakshi scoring 19 and Hafeeza claiming two wickets for Poonch.
Athletics officials included Nirmal Singh, Harsimran Singh, Kailash Choudhary, Ashwani Kumar, Mohd Ashraf, Sanjeev Kumar, Koushal Kumar, Sukhdev Singh, Pawandeep Kour, Harvinder Singh and Amit Kalsi. Cricket officials included Sandeepan Sharma, Jatinder Singh, Parveen Sharma, Jagtar Singh, Vikram Dogra and Dinesh Sharma.
