On October 21, 2026, an event for the upcoming epic tale Ramayana was hosted in Chennai. For this event, the lead cast, including Ranbir Kapoor, Ravie Dubey, Sai Pallavi, and Rakul Preet Singh, were present to enrich the experience and share their excitement about the project. Ranbir Kapoor first took this opportunity to make amends for a mistake made during his previous appearance. While quoting a powerful statement during a Dussehra event, he had a slip of the tongue. Instead of saying ‘Ant’ (end) at the end of the quote, he said ‘jeet’ (victory), changing the meaning of the statement, saying that truth and goodness would come to an end, rather than reign victorious.
Sai Pallavi fondly praised A.R. Rahman’s musical brilliance and how much his music meant to her. She also mentioned how she uses his music to look back in time to memories she subconsciously associates with his tunes.
Rakul Preet Singh was just grateful to be there, and her words expressed this precisely. She couldn’t praise Ranbir Kapoor’s portrayal of Lord Ram, even going as far as to state, “Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram is magical… After this film, every time you think of Lord Ram, I really feel you will see Ranbir.”
She also added her thoughts as to how important the power of music was for the world of cinema. And Ramayana rightfully boasts this with the powerhouse of an ensemble, with Oscar-winning talents A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer contributing their brilliance.
Ravi Dubey adds to it, speaking on how he cherishes the opportunity of working with some of the greatest stars. He said, “I’m working with the greatest technical talents in the world; Namit sir, Nitesh sir, Rahman sir, Han Zimmer sir.” On top of that, he paid praise to Ranbir Kapoor, saying how he was the kindest person he worked with.
