Recently, Sunil Shetty told in an interview to Lallan Top that when he met Akshay for the first time, he saw the face of his cousin Ullas. This was the same brother who gave Sunil his first break in modeling, but he left this world at a very young age. Sunil told, “When he met Akshay for the first time, his body language, clean shaven look, height, everything was like my Ullas Bhai.” This is the reason why he became emotionally attached to Akshay and there was always a special connection between them.

Sunil Shetty told that their first meeting was in the year 1993 on the sets of the film ‘Waqt Hamara Hai’. Both the heroes had lead roles in it. This project gave a strong foundation to their friendship. In the very beginning, Sunil himself was hesitant about working with Akshay, because he used to miss his brother all the time, however, gradually their friendship deepened due to Akshay’s funny style, humor and positive energy. According to Sunil, the way Akki maintains friendships, he knows how to maintain family and relationships, this behavior of his makes him special.
