Asim Riaz and Himanshi Khurana’s breakup news was a hot topic of discussion on social media a few months ago. Himanshi issued a statement in which she announced that she and Asim have broken up due to religious differences. Months after her announcement, Himanshi revealed in Paras Chhabra’s podcast that the differences in religious beliefs made her question her own faith and identity. She didn’t name Asim but mentioned that it happened in her previous relationship. Now, Asim’s elder brother, Umar Riaz, had an exclusive interaction with Zoom/Telly Talk India, where he took a dig at Himanshi Khurana and said that they were never raised that way.

Umar Riaz attended Faisal Shaikh aka and Tanya Siddiqui’s reception in Mumbai on October 19, 2026. During a candid interaction with us, Umar spilled the beans about his and his brother Asim Riaz’s wedding plans. He said, “He is very passionate about marriage. But right now, he is currently focusing on his career. Sabr ka phal meetha hota hai. If something happens in my life, I will definitely get married. After seeing Faisu’s nikah pictures, I also wished to get married. But the next day, I was fine.”
While speaking about Asim, the Bigg Boss 15 contestant said, “He is in excellent spirits. He is working on music. His album is also coming soon. But other people come and talk about him. He is very happy, but people want attention from him. When someone pushes him far, that’s when he speaks up. He is an artist. Everybody else comes out with anything and just talks rubbish because they want attention. Their talk is cheap.”

Umar Riaz on Himanshi Khurana’s alleged claims about Asim Riaz
had said about her previous relationship that her partner wanted her to follow his religion. She had told Paras Chhabra on his podcast, “He used to tell me the good things about his religion. Everyone tells you about those things; there is nothing wrong with that. They wanted me to understand it and accept it, but it was not acceptable to me. There was nothing wrong with him; he never misbehaved with me, but it was my own choice that I did not want to do something like that. I felt like I was betraying my God.”
Reacting to her claims, took an indirect dig at her and said, “We come from an educated background. I am a doctor myself. My whole family is educated. Humein kabhi waise parvarrish nahi di gayi hai. (We’ve never raised that way.) So, there’s no point in giving more attention to this by talking about it. But yes, it is very important to clarify that our intention is not like that. Every person is very clear in their mind. Everyone knows where you are heading. If your intention is to demean someone, God will never do good to you. So, it is karma.”
When asked about Asim Riaz’s reaction to his ex-girlfriend’s claim, the doctor-model said, “Asim takes everything with a pinch of salt. He is relaxed. He never jumps whenever something happens. A man needs to be dangerous, disciplined and in control. He has all of that.”
