BSP supremo Mayawati gave many big signals in the Maharally organized in Lucknow. He made it clear that BSP will contest the elections alone and will aim to regain power in UP with full majority.
In the rally organized on the death anniversary of Kanshi Ram, he attacked the Samajwadi Party the most and said that when they came to power, they tried to abolish reservation in promotions. Apart from this, Samajwadi Party has been at the forefront in insulting Dalits and their great men. Mayawati said that the districts and schemes which were named after Dalit great men, were changed when the Samajwadi Party government came to power.
Apart from this, Mayawati also gave advice regarding the uproar over I Love Muhammad in cities like Bareilly and Kanpur. He said that mischievous elements often insult each other’s deities and Prophets and create ruckus. This is done so that the dispute increases. Everyone should respect each other’s religion, but under the guise of this, politics of I love etc. should not be done. The rules and traditions of all religions should be respected. During this, Mayawati also targeted Congress. He thanked the Yogi government for not backing down from the development of the monuments built under his government.
He also attacked Azad Samaj Party leader Chandrashekhar Azad without naming him. Apart from this, he explained the role of parties like SP, BJP and Congress in the formation of his party. Mayawati said that when BSP came to power alone in UP, she was afraid that if BSP was not stopped from moving forward, then this party would come to power at the Centre. Frightened by this, these people united. Apart from this, many such organizations have also been formed which field candidates in the elections as per their benefit. A few of their candidates are also being sent after making them win so that they can help in reducing the votes of Dalits.
Gestures taunt Rahul Gandhi – plays drama with Constitution in hand
The former CM of UP said that goons and mafias were encouraged in the Samajwadi Party government. Now in most of the cases a similar situation is being seen in the BJP government also. After independence, Dalits have been exploited and harassed for years under the Congress governments. The Congress rule in UP has also been running with a casteist, capitalist attitude. Congress had tried to sideline Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Constitution in 1975 and today its leaders are doing drama with the same Constitution in their hands.
‘Congress stopped Ambedkar from reaching Parliament, did not give him Bharat Ratna’
It was Congress that did not allow the most revered Babasaheb Ambedkar to enter Parliament and was not given the Bharat Ratna. When Honorable Kanshi Ram died, the Congress government did not declare national mourning. Apart from this, the SP government in the state had not declared state mourning. Congress was also indifferent in implementing Mandal Commission and after all the efforts of BSP, it happened during the era of VP Singh. Now the BJP government also has a similar attitude. A lot of foundation stones and inaugurations are taking place, but no work is being done on the ground. Appealing to his supporters, he said that you will have to grow BSP by following the policy of public welfare and happiness.
