Bigg Boss Telugu 10 started on a promising note, generating considerable curiosity among viewers. However, as the weeks progressed, the show seems to be losing its charm. What initially looked like an entertaining season is gradually turning into a tiresome affair dominated by aggression, artificial romance, and questionable elimination decisions.
Here are five reasons why Bigg Boss 10 appears to be heading towards disappointment.
1. Entertainment Takes a Backseat
Unlike Season 9, the current season seriously lacks healthy entertainment. Last season had contestants like Emanuel, Sanjana, and Suman Shetty, whose impeccable comic timing provided much-needed relief amid intense competition. Even today, Emanuel’s hilarious reels continue circulating on social media.
Unfortunately, Ram Prasad and Naresh have failed to recreate that magic. Their presence has not translated into memorable entertainment, leaving the proceedings rather stale.
2. Too Much of Aggression
The never-ending confrontations involving Rohit and Thrigun have reached another level. Their exaggerated reactions and frequent arguments are becoming increasingly unbearable.
Rohit’s aggressive behaviour, particularly his rowdy threats against fellow contestants, is especially disturbing. Family audiences tune into Bigg Boss for entertainment, not to watch verbal abuse and intimidation.
Instead of providing relaxation after a stressful day, the show seems determined to raise viewers’ blood pressure. Some viewers may genuinely wonder whether this season is worth watching anymore.
3. Audience Voting Loses Its Meaning
Perhaps the most serious concern is the apparent disregard for audience voting.
Chaitra and Charan were eliminated through decisions involving housemates rather than straightforward public voting. Meanwhile, Shalini survived twice despite reportedly receiving the fewest votes.
On one occasion, Charan became the scapegoat, while on another, Shalini was conveniently moved to a secret room.
Such decisions raise an uncomfortable question: Why should audiences spend their time voting when the final outcome can be altered through twists?
4. Content Matters More Than Gameplay
Shalini’s continued presence raises another concern. Despite widespread criticism of her irritating behaviour, she remains in the game, seemingly because her romantic track with Rohit generates content.
However, this so-called nibba love story has become more of a headache than entertainment for family audiences.
When manufactured drama receives greater importance than genuine gameplay, the show’s credibility inevitably suffers.
5. Complete Lack of Emotional Connection
Earlier seasons featured contestants who established genuine emotional connections with viewers. Keerthi in Season 6 and Shiva Jyothi in Season 3, for instance, delivered moments that genuinely moved audiences to tears.
This season, however, lacks such emotional depth. With contestants constantly fighting, there is hardly any opportunity for viewers to develop affection or empathy.
Bigg Boss needs a healthy balance of entertainment, emotions, strategy, and conflict. Season 10 currently appears to offer mostly conflict.
Unless the makers restore credibility to audience voting and prioritise genuine entertainment over manufactured controversies, this promising season risks becoming one of the most disappointing editions of Bigg Boss Telugu.
