Dubai’s luxury property market has found a new star attraction in Shahrukhz by Danube, a landmark project carrying Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s name.
Indian investors, especially those from Hyderabad, Mumbai and other major cities, are showing keen interest in the project for its celebrity appeal, prestige and investment potential.
The craze is reminiscent of the excitement surrounding Trump Towers in Hyderabad. Just as the Trump brand attracts attention among luxury homebuyers, Shahrukhz is drawing interest through Shah Rukh Khan’s enormous popularity.
The original Shahrukhz by Danube is a 55-storey commercial tower on Sheikh Zayed Road. Valued at AED 2.1 billion (Rs 5,460 crore or US$574.7 million), the project reportedly sold out on its launch day in December 2025.
The buzz is now extending beyond initial sales. Buyers are showing interest in acquiring properties through the resale market, while enquiries are reportedly continuing from Indians eager to secure a place in the development.
For some, owning a property associated with a global superstar has become a matter of prestige, with brand appeal influencing their willingness to consider premium prices.
The excitement also reflects the wider attraction of Dubai’s luxury property market among Indian investors.
However, prospective buyers should carefully verify resale prices, ownership terms, transaction costs and investment risks before making a decision.
While the craze remains strong, Gulf tensions and the Iran conflict have made some buyers cautious. Others see this uncertain period as an opportunity to negotiate better prices and strike attractive deals.
