Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has welcomed speculation about actor Dhanush’s possible entry into politics.
The discussion began after his fan club was renamed Dhanush Narpani Iyakkam (Dhanush Welfare Association).
Around 3,000 office-bearers attended a meeting in Coimbatore. They discussed discipline, public service, and social responsibility.
However, Dhanush has not officially announced his entry into politics. The name change has increased public interest in his political plans.
TVK spokesperson M. Sathya Kumar said that Vijay’s journey from cinema to politics could inspire other actors.
He explained that Vijay worked for years to build a strong organisation. Vijay also turned his fan club into a social service network before entering politics.
Sathya Kumar stressed that political success requires hard work, patience, and full-time commitment. He added that fame alone cannot guarantee electoral success.
Tamil Nadu has a long history of actors entering politics. Dhanush’s future plans remain uncertain, but the recent changes to his organisation have sparked fresh political discussions.
