Mumbai, October 20: In a significant turn in the Tiger Shroff firing case, initial police questioning of the arrested individuals suggests that the ‘Baaghi’ actor was not their primary target. Investigations indicate that the accused initially planned to target another prominent Bollywood personality.
Reports suggest that when their initial plan to reach the intended celebrity proved difficult, they shifted their focus to Tiger Shroff. The accused reportedly used social media to gather information, learning through fan reels that Tiger Shroff did not have police protection at the time, making him an accessible target.
Preliminary interrogations further reveal that the attack on Tiger Shroff was intended to instill fear within the film industry. The incident occurred on Sunday evening in Mumbai’s Juhu area, where three motorcycle-borne assailants opened fire. While Tiger Shroff escaped unhurt, his driver sustained injuries.
The three accused were apprehended swiftly at Kota railway station in Rajasthan, just hours after the incident. The event has prompted widespread concern across the film fraternity. Suniel Shetty, a close friend of Tiger’s father Jackie Shroff, expressed his dismay, stating, “If something like this can happen to them, then it can happen to anyone. It shouldn’t happen.” He also emphasized Tiger’s disciplined lifestyle, focusing on sports and fitness, making the motive behind the attack all the more perplexing.
