The media was curious and no one was listening to me. So I said if the media is curious then let’s solve the matter. If I can walk, I leave on foot. This (injury) was very bad. But it was fine. They (doctors) put stitches and I stayed there for a week. There was pain in the back. But everything was fine. Didn’t need a wheelchair.”

Saif Ali Khan clarified about his thinking and said, “Some people said you should go by ambulance and some said take a wheelchair. But my thinking was that why create uneasiness or worry among the family, fans or well-wishers. I just wanted to go out and show everyone that I am fine.” Saif Ali Khan was accompanied on the show by his mother and veteran actress Sharmila Tagore.
