Kylie Jenner has added another milestone to her fashion journey by making her debut on the Victoria’s Secret runway, where she turned heads in a dazzling Fantasy Bra reportedly valued at $50 million.
The beauty mogul walked the runway in a glamorous ensemble featuring a sheer mini skirt, transparent heels and white feathered wings. However, it was the heavily embellished Fantasy Bra that stole the spotlight.
According to a Vogue report, the bra is worth a staggering $50 million, making it around $35 million more expensive than any previous Fantasy Bra.
Created in collaboration with jewellery designer Jacob Arabo of Jacob & Co, the statement piece features 4,410 natural diamonds surrounding a massive 75.54-carat radiant-cut vivid yellow diamond.
Despite its elaborate construction, the lingerie weighs just under four pounds, or around 1.8 kg.
The intricate design reportedly required more than 1,000 hours of work, with 15 skilled artisans involved in assembling the piece.
Victoria’s Secret’s decision to choose Kylie for the high-profile Fantasy Bra moment was also a strategic one.
Speaking to Vogue, the brand’s chief creative officer Adam Selman said fans had been asking for the return of the Fantasy Bra, and the company wanted someone with major cultural influence to present it.
“Kylie really extends beyond fashion, beyond culture, beyond TV, beyond one singular thing. That’s the exact same thing that we do. The show is so big, it’s true entertainment, and I think that she is a great catalyst for that. She’s really created her own culture, which — how many people can say that?” Selman said.
Kylie shared the runway with several Victoria’s Secret veterans as well as a new generation of supermodels.
Returning Angels included Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Candice Swanepoel, Behati Prinsloo, Barbara Palvin, Doutzen Kroes and Elsa Hosk.
The lineup also featured Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Joan Smalls, Irina Shayk, Anok Yai, Paloma Elsesser and Alex Consani.
With its eye-watering price tag, thousands of diamonds and more than 1,000 hours of craftsmanship, Kylie’s Fantasy Bra easily became one of the biggest highlights of the show.
