Mumbai: During the recent promotions for his upcoming film ‘Yeh Prem Mol Liya’, actor Ayushmann Khurrana shared a light-hearted exchange with the iconic ‘Dandiya Queen’ Falguni Pathak.
The interaction took place at a vibrant Garba night in Mumbai, celebrating their festive song ‘Jai Ambe’ from Sooraj Barjatya’s much-anticipated family entertainer.
Ayushmann playfully inquired about Falguni’s seemingly ageless appearance, asking, “Pehle, Falguni ji ye bataiye ki aap 16 saalo se same kaisi dikhti hain? Hum bachpan se bade ho gaye hain, aap bachpan mein hi jee rahe hain abhi tak!” (First, Falguni ji, tell us how you have managed to look the same for the past 16 years. We have grown up since childhood, but you seem to be living in your childhood even today!).
Falguni’s heartwarming response was, “Yeh log mujhe bada hone nahi dete!” (They don’t let me grow up!), referring to her devoted fanbase. Ayushmann acknowledged this, adding, “Aapka music hai inke paas, bade kabhi ho hi nahi sakte. Ek kalakaar ke liye baccha bane rehne hamesha bahot zaroori hota hai.” (They have your music with them, so they can never really grow up. For an artist, it is very important to always retain their childlike spirit).
Ayushmann and co-star Sharvari, dressed in traditional attire, first offered prayers at a goddess shrine before joining the lively Garba celebrations. ‘Yeh Prem Mol Liya’, directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions, stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari, and is set to release on November 27, 2026. The film promises a unique Garba-style devotional song, ‘Jai Ambe Bol’, a first for Hindi cinema.
