The real name of Inspector Abhijeet of Sony TV’s famous serial ‘CID’ is Aditya Srivastava. Aditya has done exceptional acting in many award winning films ranging from ‘Bandit Queen’ to ‘Gulaal’. Soon he will be seen playing a negative role in Bhumi Pednekar’s film ‘Bhakshak’. Talking about his casting, the film’s director Pulkit said, “I saw Aditya for the first time in ‘Bandit Queen’. And we did not want an actor for this character who usually plays such characters.”
Pulkit further said that Gaurav Sir (Head of Red Chillies) suggested that we sign Aditya as a villain. Everyone has seen him in CID for 20 years. He has done amazing acting in films like ‘Black Friday’, ‘Gulaal’. After doing the same show for 20 years, he himself was hungry to do something challenging. When I told him the story of the film, he immediately agreed. And let me tell you one thing that Aditya is not at all the way he is seen in this film. But whenever he was acting, I was afraid to go near him. He has acted so brilliantly that after seeing his final cut, he himself started crying asking how he did all this.
