Actress recently appeared on Madhuri Dixit’s quiz show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” alongside her co-star Adinath Kothare. During the episode, Yami addressed rumors regarding her payment for a cameo in her husband Aditya Dhar’s film “Dhurandhar.”
Madhuri playfully inquired whether Yami received compensation for her role or if her husband simply asked her to participate. She said, “I’ve seen ‘Dhurandhar’ and I really liked it. Did you get paid for that cameo, or did your husband say, ‘Please, babe, just do it?’”
Laughing at the question, Yami responded, “I believe some things are priceless. Aditya asked me to come to his set because he wanted good luck. For me, working under one of the best directors in the country was my fee. When I heard the news that I supposedly received a hefty check for my cameo, I was surprised. Collaborating with a fantastic director was my true payment.”
Yami made a special appearance in “Dhurandhar: The Revenge,” a spy thriller that has become a major blockbuster. In the film, she portrays Shazia Bano, a nurse who is later revealed to be an undercover Indian agent working in Pakistan. Although her scene with Ranveer Singh, who plays Hamza, is brief, it holds significant importance.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film features an impressive cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Sara Arjun. “Dhurandhar” has not only captured the audience’s hearts but has also performed well at the box office.
