Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 released in theatres yesterday and it is running successfully. A bunch of renowned actors from various languages who enjoy stardom are roped in for cameo roles in the film. Bollywood Superstar Hrithik Roshan has agreed to feature in a cameo role which comes before the climax portions of the film. His cameo role received criticism after the release. For his short role and screen presence, Hrithik Roshan is said to have received a whopping Rs 25 crores remuneration for Jailer 2.
It is unclear if his role was chopped off from the film but Hrithik’s role lasts for less than a minute. For a role with no prominence and less screen presence, the makers should have opted out for other options. Vidya Balan is said to have charged Rs 6 crores as remuneration for her role which is fair enough. Kannada Superstar Shiva Rajkumar was paid Rs 8 crores for his role.Vijay Sethupathi’s role was completely trimmed and he is seen during the end credits which leads to Jailer 3. The actor reportedly agreed for a less remuneration as a respect for Superstar. Rajinikanth is charging Rs 180 crores as remuneration and he worked on a profit-sharing model with a base remuneration of Rs 110 crores.
