More About The Model

The Glanza facelift gets a larger grille with satin trims, redesigned LED fog lamps, and a new shark-fin antenna. Toyota has also added two new colours, Digital Teal Green and Bluish Black. The side and rear profile remain largely unchanged. The cabin layout is the same, but the features list has grown. It now gets ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, a cooled wireless charging pad, a Clarion sound system, TPMS and Level-2 ADAS. These add to the existing 9-inch touchscreen, head-up display, 360-degree camera and six airbags as standard.

The biggest change is under the hood. The Glanza now uses a new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder Z12E engine instead of the older 4-cylinder unit. It makes 82 bhp and 112 Nm of torque in petrol form, and is paired with a 5-speed MT or AMT. In CNG mode, it makes 69 bhp and 102 Nm, and gets a new CNG-AMT option too. Power is slightly lower, but mileage has gone up. The claimed figures are 23.80 km/l (MT) and 24.77 km/l (AMT) in petrol, and 33.61 km/kg (MT) and 34.47 km/kg (AMT) in CNG.

Should You Buy The Toyota Glanza?

At this price point, the Glanza is a good option for those looking for a feature-loaded premium hatchback with better mileage and a factory-fitted CNG option. It is costlier than its sibling, the Maruti Baleno, but you get Toyota’s ownership experience and a stronger resale value. If you want a comfortable, efficient and fuss-free daily driver instead of chasing the SUV craze, the Glanza makes a lot of sense.
