As June hits the midway mark, several titles are making their OTT premieres. On June 11, the Netflix small-town drama returns with its fifth season and includes a Manhattan trip ahead of their friend’s upcoming wedding. Shane Nigam’s Malayalam thriller Dridam, produced by Jeeth Joseph, makes its OTT debut on JioHotstar on June 12. Martin Joseph’s directorial debut follows a small town where a series of crimes worry not only the residents but the police as well.
Also on June 12, the Zee5 series Taarkata sees a former police officer turned detective Agni (Vikram Chatterjee) who works on a murder case after losing his memory. Meiyang Chang makes his Bengali acting debut alongside Priyanka Sarkar, Joydip Mukherjee, Satyam Bhattacharya and Ayush Das. Finally, Jason Statham’s action film makes its OTT debut on Lionsgate Play from June 12. Also starring Bodhi Rae Breathnach and Naomi Ackie, Statham plays a retired government assassin who rescues a little girl from a shipwreck while living on a remote Scottish island.
