Jailer 2 Cameo: Hrithik Roshan Reunites With Rajinikanth After 40 Years; Fans SHOCKED At Salman Khan Connection

Hrithik Roshan’s cameo in Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 has become one of the main talking points for the film, with fans cheering the Bollywood star’s surprise entrance and his reunion with the Tamil superstar on screen. Hrithik and the two actors last worked together in the 1986 film Bhagwaan Dada, in which Hrithik was a child actor. Four decades later, their reunion has created nostalgia and buzz on social media. The cameo has been hailed as one of the big mass moments by the viewers, while the appearance adds yet another star-studded chapter to Jailer 2, Nelson Dilipkumar’s sequel to the 2023 smash that released in theatres on October 15.

Fans, especially those who had been following the clues about Hrithik’s presence in the sequel, have been abuzz with excitement about his appearance. Speculation started as viewers saw a short backlit silhouette in the teaser of the film, with many going to X to guess if the figure was Hrithik. The prospect of his cameo was soon one of the most discussed topics of the trailer.

Ever since the film’s release, Hrithik’s appearance has received a favorable response. One viewer pointed out his cameo among the film’s notable moments, while other fans called the surprise a highlight of the sequel. Fans are calling it the maker’s smart move to lure audience by having one of Bollywood’s biggest stars as part of ‘s Tamil actioner.

Infact the way in which Hrithik put his sunglasses behind his shirt collar is an absolute ode to Bollywood’s Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan), whose signature swag and move in Dabangg remains a hallmark. Infact Hrithik even wears his sunglasses in typical Rajinikanth style, right in front of the superstar himself, enough to send the audience into a frenzy.

The cameo is nostalgic as Hrithik and Rajinikanth had featured in Bhagwaan Dada (1986) earlier. The movie featured Hrithik in a child role as the foster son of Rajinikanth’s character. So, their on-screen reunion after a long time in  became an emotional moment.

After the success of the 2023 original, Jailer 2 returned with Rajinikanth as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. The sequel also features Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu and Mirnaa from the first film, with Vidya Balan, S J Suryah, Mithun Chakraborty and Suraj Venjaramoodu joining the cast. Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar are also part of the sequel.
