Karan Johar’s last official season of Koffee With Karan is soon to be released, and the news has left an overwhelming effect on the fans built over the years.
As part of Season 9, Salman Khan will be one of the many to share the famous cup of coffee with Karan for the last time. During this episode, Karan brought up the topic of how Salman Khan was onboarded for his directorial debut, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), during a time when many actors were turning down this important supporting role.
Karan Johar distinctly recalled what Salman Khan said to him, word for word. “You’ve been shopping; come narrate the film to me tomorrow.”

The next day itself, Karan reached his apartment and began the narration process. Diving a bit more into the details, Salman Khan at that time, dressed in striking yellow shorts, agreed to sign the film without even having heard the entire script. Adding to this, he was ready to make the special appearance, even though it was said that he would not be remunerated for it.
Apart from this, Karan and Salman also discussed the close bond that their families shared. They also evoked a time when Karan’s father personally flew to Mauritius in order to provide aid in securing government permissions for Salman Khan’s movie Hello Brother (1999).

Other memorable moments included them reminiscing about obstacles in productions for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai that had occurred due to the camera operator shooting an entire sequence in slow motion. Salman Khan, however, being the loyal friend that he is, pushed his simultaneously ongoing shoot back by a day to stay and help complete the shoot perfectly.
