This Rs 19 Lakh Car Offers BMW-Like Features

When the EV era began in India, it was difficult to imagine a car model and brand that could dethrone Tata and the Nexon EV from the top spot. But one brand did. In fact, when it launched this model, it became India’s best-selling electric car for months. Now, the brand is celebrating two years of this model by adding a few genuinely cool new features that you find in cars like the BMW 7 Series! Here’s what it offers.

Rs. 19 Lakh Car Gets BMW-Like Features!

The model is the Windsor EV. A few days ago, the brand teased a new ‘Indulge’ Edition of the EV, boldly claiming it will offer a true ‘business class’ experience. In the second teaser, MG revealed a new, very cool and very premium feature of the Windsor Indulge Edition: a roof-mounted entertainment screen for rear passengers that folds up and down! Currently, this feature is available as a standard offering on the BMW 7 Series and i7, which are priced over Rs. 2 crore! So, unlike most limited editions we are used to in India, this one offers something genuinely exciting and noteworthy.

More About The MG Windsor Indulge Edition

This isn’t the only new feature on the Windsor Indulge Edition. Other feature highlights include a Shadow Gold exterior colour, black-painted 18-inch alloy wheels, black-and-tan leather upholstery, and, of course, several badges to indicate it’s the Indulge Edition. Indulge-branded cushions and neck pillows are also present.

Interestingly, the Windsor Indulge Edition is priced at Rs. 17.89 lakh (ex-showroom), lower than the current top-spec Essence Pro trim (52.9 kWh), priced at Rs. 19 lakh (ex-showroom). However, it is available only with the smaller 38 kWh battery pack. It is based on the Essence trim.

The standard Windsor EV is available with two battery pack options: 38 kWh and 52.9 kWh, with claimed ranges of 332 km and 449 km, respectively. They only differ in range, as with either, the output remains the same – about 136 bhp and 200 Nm of torque.
