While most celebrity homes boast generic luxury decor, the Nene residence is built around high art—featuring original canvases painted exclusively for Madhuri by her late, legendary admirer, M.F. Husain.
Apoorva Shroff of Lyth Design designed Madhuri’s house, featuring a soft, neutral palette of layered white marble, warm woods, and serene greys, making it feel lively and happy. This muted baseline was intentionally chosen to let the vibrant, colorful strokes of M.F. Husain’s paintings take center stage—from a signature Ganesha canvas in the foyer to his iconic Dancing Women series in the dining area.
Every room flows seamlessly into the next, designed with clean, mid-century modern furniture, statement lighting, and custom tech setups managed by Dr. Nene. The layout’s true crown jewel remains the sweeping, unobstructed balcony view overlooking the Arabian Sea.
