Harbhajan Mann Says Music and Films Must Win Hearts Through Meaningful Messages

Punjabi singer and actor Harbhajan Mann has said that the true purpose of music and cinema is to deliver meaningful messages through art and win people’s hearts, rather than merely earn money.

Speaking at a felicitation ceremony organised by Malwa Rangmanch Punjab in Ludhiana for the team of Punjabi film Eh Din Roz Ni Aune, Mann said that he had been connecting with Punjabis through music and films for a long time and had always sought to promote quality content. He expressed gratitude to Punjabis in India and abroad for the love and respect they had shown his songs and films, saying their encouragement had motivated him and his team to continue contributing to the industry.

Mann said the purpose of making films was not limited to earning money but also included winning the affection of audiences through meaningful storytelling.

Director of Eh Din Roz Ni Aune, Aneet Sekhon, said the film was attracting family audiences because its story revolves around the bond between children and parents.

Professor Nirmal Joura, secretary of Malwa Rangmanch Punjab, said Harbhajan Mann had helped give Punjabi cinema a new, people-oriented identity through his work three decades ago. He said Mann had reaffirmed his commitment to that approach with Eh Din Roz Ni Aune.

Joura described the film as a celebration of the zest for life. He also praised Avnash Mann, who was born in Canada, for making a promising place for himself in Punjabi cinema through his performance, adding that the industry had found a good hero.

During the event, Malwa Rangmanch Punjab felicitated Harbhajan Mann, director Aneet Sekhon, lead actress Heer Achhra, Aruna Beniwal and Sukhmani Kaur.
