Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon has begun shooting for the upcoming Kannada film A For Anand, directed by M G Srinivas, popularly known as Srini. The film stars Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar in the lead role and marks the first on-screen collaboration between the two actors.
According to a report by Cinema Express, Raveena began filming on Wednesday at Presidency University in Bengaluru. The shooting commenced with an inaugural ceremony, during which the actress was felicitated by the university’s founder-chairman, Dr Nissar Ahmed.
The collaboration has generated interest among fans as Raveena and Shivarajkumar come together for the first time. Shivarajkumar, who was recently seen in Bail, has several projects in the pipeline, including Original Monster.
Director Srini previously worked with Shivarajkumar on the heist entertainer Ghost, which brought the actor and filmmaker together for an action-packed cinematic venture.
A For Anand is produced by Geetha Shivarajkumar under the Geetha Pictures banner. Arjun Janya is composing the music, while Mahendra Simha is handling cinematography and Deepu S Kumar is in charge of editing.
Raveena has previously appeared in notable Kannada films, including Upendra’s 1999 cult classic Upendra. She later attracted considerable attention among Kannada audiences with her role in Yash-starrer KGF: Chapter 2.
More recently, she appeared in Vishwanath And Sons, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual drama starring Suriya and Mamitha Baiju. Directed by Venky Atluri, the film also features Radikaa Sarathkumar and was released in August 2026.
Raveena was also part of the ensemble cast of the comedy entertainer Welcome To The Jungle, which features Akshay Kumar, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez, among others.
With A For Anand, the actress returns to Kannada cinema, joining Shivarajkumar in a project that brings together prominent names from the Kannada film industry.
