Features like ventilated seats and a 360-degree camera were once reserved for premium and luxury cars. Now, even budget SUVs are getting them, and a Japanese SUV starting at Rs 11 lakh is the latest example. Many had complained about this SUV earlier because it lacked several features, but the automaker has now addressed them.
Feature-Loaded SUVs In India

The SUV in question is the updated Honda Elevate; it now gets rear ventilated seats in the top ZX+ trim. Ventilated front seats are no longer rare in the segment, but rear ventilation still is. It is particularly useful for families and chauffeur-driven owners. The front seats are ventilated too, and they are powered, with an 8-way adjustable driver’s seat and a 4-way adjustable passenger seat.
Other Features

Rear ventilation isn’t the only addition. Honda has given the Elevate a major equipment upgrade, which was the SUV’s weakest area before the facelift. Here is what else you get, depending on the variant:
- 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- 8-speaker audio system
- 360-degree surround-view camera and front parking sensors
- Wireless phone charger
- Ambient lighting
- Single-pane electric sunroof (VX)
- Auto-dimming IRVM
- Electronic parking brake and auto brake hold (CVT)
- PM2.5 cabin air filter
For safety, it gets six airbags as standard, a lane-watch camera, and the Honda Sensing ADAS suite on higher variants. This includes adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking, lane keep assist and road departure mitigation.
The engine department remains unchanged. The SUV continues with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, making 121 PS and 145 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic. There is still no turbo, diesel or hybrid option. On the outside, it gets a redesigned grille, segmented LED DRLs, connected LED tail-lamps, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Honda Elevate Facelift Price

The Elevate facelift has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 11.80 lakh (ex-showroom), unchanged from the outgoing model. The range tops out at around Rs 16.80 lakh (ex-showroom). It rivals the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder.
