Both teams continued to search for an opening goal in the second half, but the deadlock remained until the 83rd minute, when Mohammad Juma Eid scored from a pass by Yasin Jabri to put Ajman ahead.

Bani Yas pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages but were unable to respond, allowing Ajman to secure all three points.

Earlier, Al Nasr came from behind to secure a convincing 4-1 win over Hatta at Al Maktoum Stadium.

Hatta took the lead in the 30th minute when Bernard Faye converted from the penalty spot, despite Al Nasr having the better of the opening stages.

The hosts responded almost immediately. Kevin Andres Agudelo levelled the score in the 32nd minute, finishing after following up his initial effort, as the first half ended 1-1.

Al Nasr took control after the break, with Agudelo scoring his second goal of the match in the 64th minute to complete the turnaround.

The home side extended their advantage just two minutes later when Ghaith Ouahabi turned the ball into his own net, making it 3-1.

Al Nasr continued to push forward and completed the scoring in the 83rd minute through Ramon Mierez, who found the net with a powerful header to seal a 4-1 victory.

The result lifted Al Nasr to seven points and second place in the standings, while Hatta remained on one point.

Al Nasr had dominated possession in the first half with 68.4% and registered five shots on target compared with one for Hatta.

Agudelo also continued his strong ADIB Cup form, having now contributed to seven goals in his last eight matches in the competition, scoring four and assisting three.

Al Wasl also continued their perfect start to the campaign with a 2-1 comeback victory over Khorfakkan at Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi Stadium.

After a goalless first half, Khorfakkan took the lead in the 57th minute through Haliru Sarki, who fired a powerful effort into the net.

Al Wasl responded strongly and found the equaliser in the 77th minute through Mehdi Taremi, who scored with a powerful header.

Al Wasl continued to push forward in search of a decisive goal as the match entered stoppage time, refusing to settle for a draw despite the clock running down.

The visitors increased the pressure on Khorfakkan’s defence, committing players to attack in an attempt to find a breakthrough and complete their comeback.

Their persistence finally paid off in the closing moments of the contest, as Soufiane Bouftini found the net in the 90+3rd minute to send Al Wasl ahead for the first time in the match.

Bouftini’s dramatic late strike secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory for Al Wasl, capping an impressive comeback away from home. The visitors’ determination to keep pushing until the final whistle proved decisive, as they turned the match around in the dying moments to claim all three points.

The result gave Al Wasl their third successive win in the competition and lifted them to nine points at the top of the league phase standings, while Khorfakkan remained without a point after three matches.
