While motherhood is a beautiful phase, the craving for work remains unparalleled for actress Karishma K Tanna. Having welcomed her baby boy just over two months ago, the new mommy is already missing the camera. In a heartfelt note on her Instagram post uploaded on October 5, 2026, the actress expressed her wish to return to the sets and hear action again while embracing motherhood.
Sharing pictures of herself with the last script she read, likely Scoop (2023), Karishma revealed she took them with baby essentials like a milk bottle and napkins visibly arranged on her table, showing her life now. The actress shared, “The script you see in these pictures is from my last project. At the moment, there isn’t a new one waiting on my table.”
Reflecting on her life now after giving birth to her son and longing to act, the actress said, “So I placed the old script beside the bottles, nappies and muslin cloth..because this is my life now:) motherhood and my restless love for acting, sharing the same space.”
Clarifying that becoming a mother has not weakened her, but has instead made her stronger, “Motherhood hasn’t taken me away from my ambition; it has deepened the woman—and the actor—I am. My hands may be full, but my heart still has room for a new character, a new set and a beautiful story waiting to be told.”
Expressing her feelings, Karishma shared, “I miss opening a fresh script, discovering a character and hearing the words, ‘Action!’ So this isn’t an announcement. It’s a manifestation—and perhaps a gentle message to the universe and the industry.”
Formally declaring she is ready to take new roles, the actress said, “This MOMMY is ready!!! Ready to read between feeds, rehearse between naps and return to set with more life, truth and hunger than ever before. To the next beautiful story—I’m ready when you are.”
