Surat Open PWR 400: Kavisha Shah Beats Anaaisha Patel In Intermediate Women’s Singles

Kavisha Shah defeated Anaaisha Patel 15-12 in the Intermediate Women’s Singles category at the Surat Open PWR 400, securing victory by a three-point margin.

Anaaisha finished within three points of Kavisha’s winning tally, but Kavisha reached 15 to take the encounter. The result added a win to Kavisha’s tournament campaign and brought their meeting to a close with both players having registered double-figure scores.

The final margin offers a measure of the difference between the two players on the scoreboard. Anaaisha’s 12 points kept her within reach of the win, but Kavisha’s calm under pressure ultimately separated the opponents.

Singles pickleball places responsibility for the entire court on one player. Without a partner to share coverage, competitors must combine movement, shot placement and recovery between strokes. Each exchange requires decisions about when to attack, when to defend and how to position for the next return.

Serving and returning also shape those opportunities. A well-placed shot can create space for the next stroke, while an inaccurate one can allow the opponent to take control. Maintaining consistency across those exchanges is a central challenge of the singles format.

Kavisha emerged with the result in this contest, reaching the winning score against an opponent who collected 12 points.

For Anaaisha, the encounter ended in defeat despite a double-figure tally. For Kavisha, it concluded with a successful result in the Intermediate Women’s Singles competition.

Their meeting contributed to the singles action at the  ,with Kavisha taking the honours.
