Karishma Tanna Says Motherhood Has Deepened Her as an Actor, Declares She Is Ready to Return to Work

Actress Karishma Tanna has expressed her eagerness to return to acting, saying motherhood has not diminished her ambitions but has instead given her a deeper perspective as both a woman and an actor.

The actress, known for shows including Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Naagin, shared a glimpse of the script from her last project on Instagram. In the photographs, she placed the script alongside baby bottles, nappies and muslin cloths, offering a glimpse into her life after becoming a mother.

Tanna said she currently does not have a new script on her table but remains deeply connected to acting. She wrote that motherhood and her love for acting now share the same space in her life and that she is ready to make room for a new character, set and story.

“I miss opening a fresh script, discovering a character and hearing the words, ‘Action!’” she wrote, describing her post as a “manifestation” rather than an announcement of a new project.

Tanna also said she was ready to balance professional commitments with motherhood, including reading scripts between feeds, rehearsing between naps and returning to sets with renewed experience and enthusiasm.

The Instagram carousel featured the actress posing with the script, along with candid photographs from her personal life.

Karishma Tanna married Varun Bangera in a private ceremony in February 2022. The couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Ved, on July 29, 2026, on the occasion of Guru Purnima.

Announcing the birth on social media, the couple shared a monochrome photograph of their newborn’s feet with the words “He’s here” and said they were blessed with a baby boy.
