India vs Uruguay Tickets Get Massive 90% Price Cut, Rs 1,999 Tickets Now Just Rs 199

Aticket that was around ₹1900 is now available for much less than what it was worth earlier. That is how drastically things have altered for the October 6th international friendly between Uruguay and India in Kolkata.

Notably, tickets for certain parts of the Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan will now only cost ₹199 instead of ₹1,999 until Sunday morning. On Sunday, the Indian Football Federation used its social media platforms to announce the updated rates. The price of the C2 Left and C2 Right blocks has significantly decreased. This may be interpreted as an attempt to draw more spectators to the venue to witness the game. Notably, the stadium was empty on October 3 when India faced Brazil at the same venue.

The stadium can accommodate over 85,000 people, but attendance at the Brazil match was reportedly just over 51,000. With players like Vinicius Jr., Gabriel Magalhaes, and Marquinhos playing for the visiting club, there was no lack of star power.

Big Drop In Ticket Prices

Even prior to the Brazil game, there were talks regarding ticket prices, and now the organisers have made the decision to make a significant change. Uruguay has a history of winning the FIFA World Cup twice. However, the good news for the fans is that they will be able to watch the game at a much lower price compared to the Brazil match tickets. Additionally, this will be India’s last international friendly match. India began the stretch by playing Panama in Bengaluru. After that, the caravan travelled to Kolkata, where they played Brazil and will now take on Diego Forlan’s team.

Free tickets For G.O.A.T. Tour Specatators

An unfortunate controversy surrounded ‘s Kolkata visit for his G.O.A.T. tour last year. The 22,000 fans who were impacted during the event will be granted free admission, according to the organisers. West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari declared that complimentary passes to the Uruguay match would be offered to individuals who purchased tickets for the Messi event but were unable to adequately watch the Argentine great. Dr. Indranil Khan, West Bengal’s minister of sports, subsequently verified the procedure for collecting the same.

Interestingly, those who purchased tickets for the December 13 event last year can pick them up on October 5 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Along with a government-issued picture ID evidence, such as an Aadhaar card, voter ID, driver’s license, or passport, they must present the bought ticket for the Messi event.

Thus, the ticketing situation for the  match has significantly changed with just 36 hours remaining. On Sunday morning, a seat cost ₹1,999; now, it is only worth ₹199. This might significantly alter the appearance of the stands when India plays Uruguay in a city that has traditionally loved football and reacted favourably to big football nights.
