Skoda Slavia facelift India launch tomorrow: What we know about price, features and upgrades

Skoda Slavia facelift is set to launch in India tomorrow, October 6, 2026, marking the first comprehensive update to the sedan since its introduction. Skoda has already revealed the updated model, opened pre-bookings for Rs 15,000 and started production at its Chakan facility in Pune. Prices will be announced at the launch.

Skoda Slavia facelift: What’s new in the design?

The facelift retains the Slavia’s overall silhouette but gets revised LED headlamps and tail-lamps, new LED daytime running light signatures and sequential rear turn indicators. The grille, air dam, bumpers and alloy wheels have also been redesigned.

A new trim between the tail-lamps carries illuminated SKODA lettering. The sedan will also be offered with new exterior colours, including Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige.

New features in the Skoda Slavia

The cabin retains its basic layout but receives several important upgrades. The infotainment touchscreen has grown from 10 inches to 10.1 inches, while the digital driver’s display has increased from 8 inches to 10.25 inches.

The Slavia facelift also gets a 360-degree Area View camera and a segment-first rear-seat massage function. An updated air-conditioning system and new interior themes are also part of the upgrade package.

New 8-speed automatic gearbox

One of the biggest changes is mechanical. The 115hp 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine now gets an 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox, replacing the outgoing 6-speed automatic.

The 1.5-litre TSI continues to produce 150hp and remains paired with the 7-speed DSG automatic. A 6-speed manual continues to be available with the 1.0 TSI.

Skoda Slavia facelift expected price

Skoda has not announced the official prices yet. The outgoing Slavia currently sits in the mid-size sedan segment, and the facelift is expected to command a premium because of its additional equipment and new automatic transmission.

Pre-bookings are already open, with deliveries expected to begin during the festive season. The Slavia will continue to rival the Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Volkswagen Virtus.

Skoda Slavia facelift: What to expect tomorrow

The October 6 launch should reveal the complete variant-wise pricing and final equipment list. The updated Slavia’s combination of new technology, additional comfort features and an 8-speed automatic could make it a more competitive option in India’s shrinking mid-size sedan segment.
