Janhvi Kapoor has finally shared her side of the issue surrounding the obscene AI-generated content featuring her and the “Chuttamalle” song from “Devara”.
It was NTR, who shared the screen with Janhvi in “Devara”, who first took a strong stand against the misuse of AI and morphed videos. He also announced legal action against those responsible for creating and circulating such content.
Megastar Chiranjeevi, Vijay Deverakonda and Khushbu Sundar also voiced their concerns over the growing misuse of AI and the targeting of women through manipulated content.
Now, Janhvi has addressed the issue through a statement on her Instagram Stories. Condemning the misuse of technology, she wrote that the “criminal misuse of technology to objectify women and circulate fictionalised content without their consent is deeply violating, bordering on sexual assault.”
Janhvi also highlighted the larger issue faced by women in the public eye, including the constant negotiation around safety, the male gaze and public judgement.
She concluded by thanking NTR for taking a stand on the matter.
“I am deeply touched by NTR sir for taking such a strong stand and condemning this violation. Thank you sir,” she wrote.
