Khushbu Sundar Backs Janhvi Kapoor Amid AI-Morphed Video Controversy, Says ‘Stay Strong Bachcha’

Actress and politician Khushbu Sundar has extended her support to Janhvi Kapoor following the circulation of an AI-generated, morphed video featuring the actress from the song Chuttamalle in Devara: Part 1, raising concerns over the misuse of artificial intelligence to target women.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Khushbu strongly condemned the creation and circulation of such content, describing it as cruel, abusive and an attack on a woman’s dignity.

“What has been done through AI is not a joke, not entertainment and not something we should ever normalise. It is cruel, abusive and deeply shameful. It is tearing off her dignity,” she wrote.

Expressing outrage over the incident, Khushbu said no woman should have to fear that technology could be weaponised to invade her dignity, reputation or sense of safety. She emphasised that such incidents should concern everyone, as any woman could become a target.

Khushbu also called for accountability, saying that those who create, knowingly share or promote such content must face consequences to set an example.

“A woman’s body is not content. Her dignity is not entertainment. Her humiliation is not a joke. And AI must never become a weapon against women. As women, we must stand together and say: ENOUGH,” she wrote.

Concluding her post, Khushbu directly addressed Janhvi and expressed solidarity, saying, “I stand with you #JanhviKapoor. Stay strong bachcha.”

Earlier, actor Jr NTR had also condemned the use of AI to create fake videos and warned of legal action against those responsible for producing and circulating them. Actors Vijay Deverakonda and Chiranjeevi have also spoken out against the misuse of the technology and expressed support for Janhvi.

The incident has renewed concerns about the use of AI to create manipulated content targeting women and the need to hold those responsible accountable.
