Navdeep Singh misses gold medal despite season-best throw, bags silver in World Para Athletics Championships 2025

New Delhi: India’s javelin star Navdeep Singh bagged a silver medal in the ongoing World Para Athletics Championships at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday, October 5. Navdeep registered his season-best throw of 45.46m in his third attempt to clinch the medal.

Navdeep began with a strong throw of 41.38 in the event and was in the third spot after the first round. He missed the gold medal with a difference of 0.30m.

With Navdeep’s medal, India stretched their best campaign in the World Para Athletics Championships 2025 with 21 medals. It was the fourth gold medal for India in the javelin event after Sandip Sargar, Rinku Hooda, and Sumit Antil won the gold medal in the F44, F46, and F64 categories, respectively.
