Uddhav Thackeray, chief of the Shiv Sena (UBT), and MNS chief Raj Thackeray on Sunday led a protest march in Mumbai against the functioning of the Election Commission of India and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
The rally witnessed a significant turnout of party workers and supporters. Leaders and cadres from Shiv Sena (UBT), MNS, the Maha Vikas Aghadi and several other opposition parties joined the demonstration carrying the national flag. The march reflected the opposition parties’ collective protest against the Election Commission and its functioning. The participation of workers from different political groups added to the scale of the demonstration in Mumbai.
March Begins At Metro Cinema And Reaches BMC Headquarters
The protest march began from Metro Cinema in Mumbai and proceeded towards the headquarters of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. After reaching the civic body headquarters, the procession was converted into a public meeting. Leaders who participated in the march are expected to address the gathering and speak about their concerns regarding the Election Commission and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Political attention is focused on the speeches of Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray, particularly on what they say during the gathering and what appeal they make to their supporters. The developments at the rally have drawn considerable attention from political circles.
Aditya Thackeray’s Absence Becomes Talking Point
While the rally led by the Thackeray brothers against the Election Commission and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar attracted attention, the absence of Shiv Sena (UBT) youth leader and Uddhav Thackeray’s son, Aaditya Thackeray, also became a subject of discussion. Opposition leaders participating in the march adopted an aggressive position against the Election Commission and the Chief Election Commissioner, making Aaditya Thackeray’s absence more noticeable. Despite the focus surrounding the protest, the reason for his non-participation has not yet been revealed. His absence continued to remain a talking point as supporters and political observers watched the proceedings of the rally.
