More than 100 specially-abled athletes from 28 districts gathered at Kalinga Stadium on Friday to compete in the highly anticipated Odisha State Para Swimming Championship 2026-27. Jointly coordinated by the Para Sports Association Odisha and the Sports Department of the Government of Odisha, this two-day meet at the Aquatic Centre aims to spotlight exceptional sporting talent.

Competitors in both men’s and women’s categories are diving into action, fighting for top honors and a chance to secure spots in upcoming national events. Odisha continues to cement its reputation as a leading promoter of inclusive sporting infrastructure in India, ensuring that disabled athletes receive world-class training facilities.

Special Secretary of the Sports Department Ashok Kumar Panda inaugurated the grand event, expressing deep admiration for the fierce dedication shown by the participants.
