Salman Khan’s most delayed film finally cleared by the government?

Salman Khan’s Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace should have been released long ago, but due to the government’s intervention, it is yet to see the light of day. Previously, the movie was titled Battle of Galwan, but since relations between China and India have been improving over the years, the government directed a change not only in the title but also in the narrative.

Due to pending clearances, there has been no update about the film’s release so far. According to a recent report in Bollywood Hungama, officials of the I&B Ministry are now satisfied with the new version submitted by the makers and have recently given an NOC to the war saga. It simply means that the film can be allowed for public exhibition.

Maatrubhumi will now head to the CBFC, and after receiving clearance from them, it can debut in cinemas. However, the most important government approval has reportedly been given. The new version is said to depict India-China relations in a positive light. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the biggie stars Chitrangada Singh as the female lead.
