New Delhi: Weeks after walking out of the highly anticipated film, Hera Pheri 3, actor Paresh Rawal confirmed his return to the franchise. Yes, you read it right! While speaking with Himanshu Mehta on his podcast, Paresh finally addressed the controversy and even praised his co-stars, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and the director of the film, Priyadarshan.
After Paresh walked out of the film, Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films, sued Paresh Rawal. Later, the actor returned Rs 11 lakh along woth 15 per cent interest to the production company.
Paresh Rawal back in Hera Pheri 3?
Speaking with Himanshu Mehta, actor Paresh Rawal said, “There’s no controversy. I believe that when people love something so much, then you have to be extra careful. It is our responsibility toward the audience. The audience has given you so much adulation. You can’t take things for granted. Mehnat karke unko (film) do. It is all resolved now.”
He further added, “So, I was of the opinion that sab saath mein aaye, mehnat karein. Aur kuch nahin. It is all resolved now. Pehle bhi aane hi waali thi but it’s just that we had to fine-tune ourselves (laughs). After all, all of them are creative, be it Priyadarshan, Akshay or Suniel. They are friends for many, many, many years.”
The actor also confirmed his return as Baburao to SCREEN, and when asked, the actor responded with a “yes”.
Hera Pheri 3 controversy
Paresh Rawal’s exit from Hera Pheri 3 courted a massive controversy. Initially, the reports suggested that the actor walked out of the film due to creative differences, he, however, denied it. Paresh took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from ‘Hera Pheri 3’ was not due to creative differences. I reiterate that there are no creative disagreement with the filmmaker. I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr Priyadarshan.”
