Virat Kohli Wicket Video: Watch Jayden Seales Dismiss Star India Batter For Golden Duck in IND vs WI 3rd ODI 2026

Star India batter Virat Kohli was dismissed for a first-ball duck by West Indies fast bowler Jayden Seales during the third and final One-Day International at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh, on Saturday.

Arriving at the crease following an early breakthrough, the veteran right-hander was undone on his very first delivery as Seales produced a sharp delivery to send him back to the pavilion without scoring, leaving the home crowd stunned.

Jayden Seales Strikes to Deliver Double Blow

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, India found themselves under unexpected pressure in the early overs. West Indies speedster Jayden Seales, steaming in with the new ball, found disciplined lines and immediate movement off the fresh surface.

Walking in at his customary number three position, Kohli looked to get off the mark immediately. However, Seales pitched a probing delivery that found the batter’s edge, resulting in a dismissal that brought the 37-year-old’s innings to an abrupt end on his very first ball. The video of the dismissal quickly circulated across social media platforms, highlighting Seales’ clinical execution against one of modern cricket’s most accomplished ODI batters.

Kohli’s History of Golden Ducks

While a golden duck is rare for a batsman of Kohli’s caliber, it’s not entirely unprecedented in his illustrious career. He was famously dismissed for a golden duck against West Indies by Kieron Pollard in an ODI back in December 2019, an instance that also saw both captains (Kohli and Pollard) register first-ball ducks in the same game. That marked his third golden duck in ODI cricket. Overall, Kohli has registered 18 ducks in his ODI career as of October 23, 2025. He has also faced similar fates in other formats, including the IPL.

Contrast to Previous Outings in the Series

The dismissal marked a stark contrast to Kohli’s form earlier in the bilateral series. In the series opener in Thiruvananthapuram, Kohli had anchored India’s chase with a match-winning, unbeaten 139 off just 117 deliveries, during which he also surpassed the milestone of 15,000 runs in One-Day Internationals.

The golden duck was Kohli’s first single-figure score of the series, providing the West Indies bowling unit with a major morale boost as they attempt to salvage pride and avoid a 3-0 whitewash in New Chandigarh.
