Honda Elevate Facelift Leaked Ahead Of Launch!

Honda Cars India has started the countdown for the Elevate facelift, and the SUV is no longer a secret. With the official launch just days away, the teaser and a set of leaked images have given us a good look at what’s coming. A closer look at the pictures also hints at something interesting: the updated Elevate seems to take a few design cues from a concept Honda showcased in Japan earlier this year.

Honda Elevate Facelift: What We Know So Far?

The Honda Elevate facelift is scheduled to launch in India on October 6, 2026. The company has also opened pre-bookings for the updated SUV with a token amount of Rs 21,000, so you can reserve one through Honda dealerships before prices are announced.

With the facelift, the updated Elevate will boast several changes inside and out. While the Japanese carmaker has already teased this upcoming SUV, we have got some more information about the model.

Honda Mistakenly Revealed The Model?

Earlier this year, at Tokyo Auto Salon 2026, Honda showcased the WR-V TrailSport HRC Concept. For starters, Japan sells the Elevate as the WR-V. Now that the Elevate facelift teaser is out, the similarities are hard to miss. The production Elevate is unlikely to get the full HRC treatment, but its overall styling language appears inspired by that concept. The result should be a more modern Elevate than the one we have been seeing on the road since 2023.

The most noticeable change is at the front. Based on the teaser and the leaked images, the Elevate facelift gets a new grille design, an LED light bar at the front, and connected twin LED strips at the rear. We also expect redesigned bumpers and new alloy wheels on the updated Elevate.

Interior Updates

Inside, the Honda SUV could get a new cabin theme and updated seat upholstery. However, the dashboard design is expected to remain largely unchanged. We also expect Honda to add some new features to make the Elevate a more compelling choice in the midsize SUV space.

Currently, the Elevate misses out on features like a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone AC, ventilated front seats, a powered co-driver’s seat – and all these are becoming the most common features nowadays. As Honda added the ventilated front seat and a factory-fitted 360-degree camera to the City facelift, we expect the Elevate to get the same treatment.

Powertrain

Under the hood, the updated Elevate is expected to retain the 1.5-litre NA petrol engine (121 bhp & 145 Nm), paired with a six-speed manual gearbox and a seven-step CVT automatic. Honda now offers a hybrid powertrain with the City, but not with the Elevate. While Honda has not revealed any plans to offer a hybrid powertrain with the Elevate, considering the run of automakers for hybrids in India, it remains to be seen if the facelift brings this option.

Expected Pricing

The Honda Elevate is expected to be priced at a premium over the current model, which is currently priced between Rs. 14.12 lakh and Rs 20.19 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). It will continue to rival other midsize SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Toyota Hyryder, and Maruti’s Victoris and Grand Vitara SUVs.
