Skoda Slavia facelift launch on October 6: New features, 8-speed automatic gearbox and expected price

Skoda is set to launch the new Slavia facelift in India on October 6, 2026, with refreshed styling, additional features and a new automatic gearbox for its 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. Production has already started at the company’s Chakan facility in Pune, while pre-bookings are open for Rs 15,000. Deliveries are expected to begin around the festive season.

Skoda Slavia facelift: What’s new in the design?

The updated Slavia gets new LED headlamps and tail-lamps with sequential rear turn indicators, revised front and rear styling, and fresh alloy wheel designs. Skoda has also introduced two new exterior colours: Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige.

The sedan retains its familiar silhouette, while the Monte Carlo variant joins the line-up from launch with sportier styling details.

New features include rear-seat massage and 360-degree camera

One of the key additions is a rear-seat massage function, which Skoda describes as a segment-first feature. The facelift also gets a 360-degree Area View camera, front parking sensors and a larger 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.

The cabin features a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alongside an AI Companion powered by Google Cloud. Ventilated front seats and an electric sunroof are also part of the equipment list, depending on the variant.

Skoda Slavia facelift engine and gearbox

The sedan retains its 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engines. The 1.0-litre unit produces 115hp and 178Nm and is available with a six-speed manual or a new eight-speed torque-converter automatic, replacing the earlier six-speed automatic.

The 1.5-litre engine continues to produce 150hp and 250Nm, paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic. Its variants now also get rear disc brakes.

Skoda Slavia facelift expected price

The facelift is expected to cost more than the outgoing model, with reports indicating a potential price range of around Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Skoda is yet to announce the official variant-wise prices, which are expected at launch.

The updated Slavia will continue to compete with the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Volkswagen Virtus in India’s midsize sedan segment.
