Hero MotoCorp reported total wholesale dispatches of 7,66,348 units in September 2026, marking an 11.51% year-on-year increase compared to 6,87,220 units shipped during the same month last year. Hero also reported a 34.82% growth over the 5,68,398 units dispatched in the previous month of August 2026.
Domestic market shipments accounted for 7,39,018 units in September 2026, rising 14.12% from 6,47,582 units a year earlier and expanding 36.27% month-on-month from 5,42,305 units recorded in August.
Internal combustion engine models came at 7,10,436 units, up from 6,32,253 units in September 2025, supported by a 29% expansion in domestic ICE registrations on the Vahan portal. In the electric vehicle vertical, the Vida brand dispatched 28,798 units during the month, delivering an 83% year-on-year jump in Vahan retail registrations.
Scooter volumes crossed the six-figure mark to reach 1,00,354 units across combustion and electric powertrains, climbing 64.51% from 61,003 units in September 2025 and 34.62% from 74,547 units dispatched in August.
Dispatches of traditional petrol scooters alone grew 60% year-on-year. Motorcycle dispatches rose 6.35% year-on-year to 6,65,994 units from 6,26,217 units in September 2025.
Ou the other hand, exports stood at 27,330 units in September 2026, reducing 31.05% compared to 39,638 units shipped in September 2025.
