The Indian cricket team created history as they chased down a mammoth total of 406 runs against the West Indies in the second ODI of a three-match series at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.
This is the second-highest run-chase in the history of the format.
The only other instance of a team chasing down a total of over 400 in history came during the famous clash between South Africa and Australia at the New Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg in 2006 (7507 days ago), when the hosts chased down a score of 434.
It is worth noting that the game saw the 400-run mark being breached for the first time in the format’s history when Australia reached the milestone in the first innings.
