Registration of properties in Mumbai has increased 5 per cent in September to 12,610 units on strong housing demand, especially during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, according to Knight Frank.
The data relates to both primary and secondary markets.
Real estate consultant Knight Frank India said that Mumbai city, covering the area under BMC jurisdiction, witnessed registration of 12,610 units till 8.30 pm on September 30.
In September 2025, as many as 12,070 units were registered.
The findings are based on the data from the Maharashtra Department of Registrations and Stamps.
During the Ganesh Chaturthi festival celebrated from September 14 to 25, 2026, Mumbai recorded 5,379 property registrations.
Last year, during the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, 4,392 units were registered.
