Jeep is giving the 2027 lineup a serious dose of trail capability with the return of the off-road-focused Trailhawk trim.
The revived model gets the full visual and mechanical makeover enthusiasts expect from the badge, including revised front and rear bumper fascias and signature red recovery hooks. Underneath, the Trailhawk gains a one-inch factory suspension lift, unique spring and damper tuning, and 17-inch wheels wrapped in 245/65R-17 Nexen Roadian ATX all-terrain tires.
Most of the work done for the 2027 Cherokee Trailhawk looks quite similar to the Jeep Cherokee Upland Concept the automaker brought out to the 2026 Easter Jeep Safari.

The revised fascias combine with the extra inch of ride height to significantly sharpen the SUV’s trail geometry. Jeep rates the 2027 Cherokee Trailhawk’s approach angle at 28.8 degrees and its departure angle at 31.8 degrees.
Overall suspension articulation sees a 45-point bump on the Ramp Travel Index compared to standard Cherokee models. For trickier trail obstacles, full steel skid plates protect the front axle, wiring harness, fuel tank, and hybrid system battery pack.
Off-Road Hardware and Pricing Breakdown
With 9.0 inches of total ground clearance, the Trailhawk is rated to ford through up to 24 inches of water. Power flows through Jeep’s Quadra-Trac II 4×4 system, paired with a two-speed transfer case and an electronic locking rear axle to tackle low-traction terrain. The 1.6L Turbo Hybrid powertrain delivers 210 horsepower and is estimated to deliver 31 mpg combined.
Order books are open now, with production scheduled to begin later this year at Stellantis’ Toluca Assembly Complex. Pricing for the 2027 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk starts at $44,625, including a $1,995 destination charge, positioning it just below the luxury-oriented Overland trim.
