Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 is entering its final promotional phase, with Sun Pictures adopting a different strategy for the highly anticipated sequel. A grand audio launch event, Jailer 2 Rave with the complete Anirudh Ravichander album, is scheduled on September 30, with the makers also planning additional music-focused promotions.
The album already has two released tracks, Ala Bolelo and One Sun One Moon. The latter arrived on September 25 and features Anirudh and MS Krsna on vocals. Third single One Name is scheduled to release on October 29. The music continues the collaboration between Anirudh and director Nelson Dilipkumar, who previously delivered Jailer’s popular soundtrack.
The Jailer 2 theatrical trailer is announced to arrive on October 5, keeping the film’s promotions tightly packed ahead of its worldwide release on October 15. Sun Pictures has already unveiled character glimpses featuring Vidya Balan, SJ Suryah and Suraj Venjaramoodu, expanding the sequel’s ensemble cast. The album launch event to be streamed on Sun NXT from October 3.
Nelson Dilipkumar directs Jailer 2, with Rajinikanth returning as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian and Anirudh composing the music. The sequel also features Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vijay Sethupathi, Shivarajkumar, Vidya Balan and others. Sun Pictures recently reconfirmed October 15 after postponement rumours, keeping the Dussehra release on track.
