This week promises plenty for South Indian cinema fans, with Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju’s Bethlehem Kudumba Unit, Karthi’s Sardar and Sandeep Reddy Vanga-backed Romanchakam among the films arriving on OTT. Several much-awaited Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu titles are set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, JioHotstar, Manorama Max and Sun NXT, bringing a diverse mix of genres and stories to streaming audiences.
Bethlehem Kudumba Unit
Girish AD’s Malayalam romantic comedy stars Nivin Pauly, Mamitha Baiju, Sangeeth Prathap, Roshan Shanavas, Shyam Mohan, Suresh Krishna, Vinay Forrt, Srinda and Meenakshi Raveendran. The film will stream on JioHotstar from October 2, 2026. The story follows Ashley, who comes back to Kerala after completing her studies in Ireland and crosses paths with Justin, the older man she had fallen for before leaving the country. Their love grew from their shared interest in music but was halted by family opposition.
Least Eligible Bachelor
Telugu comedy-drama series Least Eligible Bachelor, directed by Babu Degala, features Harsha Chemudu, Hyper Aadi, Aishwarya Holakkal and Jeevan Kumar. The show will premiere on ETVWin on September 30, 2026. The series follows the story of a young man from a middle-class family who finds himself under pressure to settle down. His personality and circumstances make him an unlikely choice in the marriage market, earning him the label of the “least eligible” bachelor.
Romanchakam
Backed by Animal, Arjun Reddy Directo directed by Venu Gopal Reddy, Telugu romantic comedy Romanchakam stars Sumanth Prabhas, Ananthika Sanilkumar and Upendra Limaye. The film will be available to stream on Netflix from October 1, 2026. The story follows Anvesh, an engineering graduate who starts a dating app in an attempt to establish himself as an entrepreneur. However, while his platform is designed to connect other people, his own romantic life remains complicated. The woman he loves repeatedly turns him down and blocks him.
Jagaddhatri
Kannada action thriller series Jagaddhatri, directed by Mahesh Sarang, stars Mokshitha Pai and Vijay Lalitha Surya. The series premiered on ZEE5 on September 28, 2026. The story revolves around an undercover intelligence officer who maintains two very different identities. At home, she appears to be a reserved and unassuming daughter, but outside her family environment, she takes on the role of a fearless operative. The series follows how she manages these contrasting sides of her life while carrying out her work as an intelligence officer.

Balaji Mohan’s Tamil romantic comedy web series #Love features Arjun Das and Aishwarya Lakshmi in the lead roles. The show will premiere on Netflix on October 2, 2026. The series is set in the world of dating apps and follows Tara and Matthew, who run competing platforms called FOUND and Find My Bae. Both have built their careers around helping people discover romantic compatibility, but their own relationship puts their beliefs about love to the test.
Sun Singer
Tamil reality show Sun Singer features Anthony Dasan, Binni Krishnakumar and Mano as part of its lineup. The show will stream on SunNXT from October 4, 2026. The music-based reality series brings together 20 young contestants from different parts of Tamil Nadu. They earned their places on the show after progressing through multiple rounds of online and in-person auditions.
Mother Promise
Kannada action comedy Mother Promise, directed by Poornachandra Mysore, stars Dhananjaya, Poornachandra Mysore, Mahadev Prasad, Chi Guru Dutt, Nagabhushana NS and Vinaya Prasad. The film will premiere on ZEE5 on October 2, 2026.
The story follows a reckless man whose life spirals after a disastrous bet leaves him in debt. With people demanding that he repay what he owes, he goes on the run and soon finds himself being chased by a group of powerful characters. His escape becomes even more complicated when his mother joins.
Sardar 2
PS Mithran’s Tamil action thriller Sardar 2 stars , SJ Suryah, Malavika Mohanan, Ashika Ranganath, Rajisha Vijayan and Munishkanth. The sequel will begin streaming on Prime Video on October 1, 2026.
The film follows veteran officer Chandra Bose and his son Vijay Prakash as they attempt to stop an international mercenary organisation from deploying a dangerous biochemical weapon known as Doku. Chandra is forced to return from exile after learning that the group is searching for three access keys concealed by former agents. Together, the father and son follow a trail involving historical and technical clues.
